Wills & Living Wills

Why do you need a will or a living will?  The answer is that a will allows you to determine where your assets go when you pass away, allows you to determine who is  responsible for managing your estate, and can save your estate money.  If you have young children or grandchildren, your will can even control at what age they receive their inheritance as well as who will manage their inheritance.

What about a living will?  Do you know who makes your medical decisions for you if you can't do so yourself?  The answer is that if you don't formally appoint someone to make your medical decisions for you if you are unable to do so, no one has the right to.  Not even a spouse or close family member has the legal right to

make your decisions if you haven't appointed them to do so. That's why having a living will is very important for everyone.  A living will allows you to establish important medical directives and decide who can make your medical decisions for you if you are unable to do so.  You not only decide who can make your decisions, but you can also dictate what decisions are made such as medical treatment and medications you do or do not want.

We can help you to assure your assets pass through your estate the way you want and that you have provided for your future medical decisions.
